Thy Will

With our Desire
For Listening to the Universe’s message system,
Those subtle and sometimes not so subtle communiqués
Each of us are constantly being offered,
We welcome and gladly accept our mission,
This mission being to enact the desires of the Heart.
Rather than leading with the mind,
We are choosing to utilize the mind’s intelligence
As the most excellent tool it is,
Under the Heart’s command.

Andrew & I stand committed to
Listening to the still small voice within,
To create in a new way,
Thy will,
Rather than my will.

For the first fifty years of my life,
There was inner struggle,
Mostly never knowing how to make a decision,
An inability to discern what was right for me,
Constantly looking to the outside for answers,
Receiving others’ good intentions
For what was best for me.

With the gift of the onset of Awakening
At the ripe young age of 50,
I have now had the practice for the past 17 years
Of discerning my own Guidance system.

Being that Andrew & I are upon this journey
Of manifesting Community
Amidst a working café plantation
In Palmira, Boquete, Panamá,
We are ever more committed to enacting Thy Will🙏
Releasing the mind’s calculated decision making
With what if’s and therefore’s
And what’s in it for me.

With learnings galore,
I wish to share the ways in which we
Have chosen to take action based upon
Listening with the ears of our hearts.

Overlooking Edible Landscape And Anunue🌈 at Our Olinda Farm

The biggie:
Departing our beLoved Maui.
Andrew felt the completion there,
“Felt” being the key word.
One day he walked out on the land,
Overlooking the gulch’s edge, and
Came in to announce it was time for a change.
He felt the knowing that the maintenance required
On our stunning organic farm,
Was no longer his to do.

With this, we began researching
San Miguel de Allende and Oaxaca,
Only to experience
A lack of flow in booking accommodations.
Two dear friends mentioned Panamá within a short period of each other.
Andrew began the investigation,
And after learning there was elevation in Panamá🇵🇦,
Discovered Boquete,
An expat’s haven.
With Andrew feeling a sense of urgency,
We spontaneously booked a 12-day explorative excursion
Amidst the height of Panamá’s wet season, October, 2024.
At the closure of our Boquete visit,
During the twilight hours
Of the eve of our departure back to Maui,
Our Panamanian realtor walked us upon the land in Palmira.
In my mind’s eye,
I still see Andrew & our realtor
Walking ahead of me on a trail
Through the café finca,
Andrew having that look upon his face
Of sheer wonder and awe,
A look of innocence and desire,
As we both saw the wild Beauty and great possibilities.

The decision was made,
From the place of wonder and awe,
Rather than from the mind’s
How, when, where,
Financial gain analysis, power, or control.
We were instead envisioning
The What and the Why,
The What being: Community;
The Why being: It is no longer the time of the lone wolf,
Instead, it is the era of coming together,
Co-creating harmoniously,
Supporting those humans desiring to co-create synergistically,
Recognizing the exponential power
Where there are two or more gathered🙏

Choosing our Maui realtor
For the sale of our li’l organic farm
Was another practice in the heart’s discernment.
We interviewed three different realtors,
One being a broker,
All being uber-qualified
To list our sweet Maui farm.
Following the walk-a-bout on the ‘āina
With the third realtor,
The choice was clear from the Heart’s perspective,
For the mind would have chosen another.

Our li’l Boquete rental home showed up with ease ’n Grace
While still living on island,
Given the help of my daughter locating the Facebook ad,
And the listing realtor who video-called us
From the casa “showing us” around,
With a closing handshake
For our one-year rental agreement.
Later, we came to learn the house is owned by Isis,
A namesake of the Goddess whose 24kt gold earrings I wear
As a gift from my beLoved Andrew.
Isis, now how many women are named that?!?!
Only Source can line up such a detail as this
Supporting us in recognizing
We are on path.

Me ‘n Lucy

We purchase a 2016 Subaru XV
While still living on Maui,
Site unseen given the referral of an auto broker
From our wonderful Panamanian realtor.
The auto broker was so kind and helpful,
Willing to meet us at the Panamá airport
To transfer the ownership paperwork into our hands,
While his brother-in-law awaited our arrival
In our Subaru at the David airport,
A 45-minute flight away.
We chose a Subaru based upon
The recommendation by our Maui mechanic,
Understanding that “you cannot go wrong”
With the reliability of a Subaru.
Everything about the car was fine.
It just didn’t “look” like ours.
It didn’t feel like ours.
And, it didn’t smell like ours 🙂
This was evident in the number of times
I couldn’t find our car in the parking lot,
Instead attempting to open someone else’s vehicle.
One could say that I found
Our Subaru to be “nondescript” 😀
(We did not make that mistake with Lucy,
Our Suzuki Jimny.)
Although we feel the Gratitude
Given the ease ’n Grace
Upon our arrival in Panamá,
Having car and house awaiting us,
When we went to sell the Subaru,
We found we had significantly overpaid
Selling the car for half the price we paid.
Blesson (lesson ’n Blessing)?
We Trusted –
Our Maui mechanic,
Our Panamanian realtor,
The car broker.
We forwent monies,
Monies that could have been utilized
Toward our Community project.
At this point, as I write this,
I see the learning as a
Practice for deepening into Trust:
There is always enough.
It is a matter of opening
To the receipt of the abundance.
Additionally, we could have been more inquisitive
As we now realize,
The prices quoted by the broker were high.

Arturo Takin’ Us on a Coffee Tour

As has been shared in a number of prior posts,
The heart-felt alignment with
La Gracia Café Finca’s General Manager Arturo,
Has been profound.
Continuously, we see his creative,
Business oriented ideas fully expressed
Given his thorough follow-through in all regards.
For years, Andrew has been clear
That for Community to succeed,
There needs to be a common enterprise performed
On the Community land.
Lo and behold, 👀ie what has shown up
With the ultimate of Ease ’n Grace:
A café business,
Managed by a seasoned café expert,
Utilizing his vast network of peoples and services
Within the local Boquete Community
To expedite all things café on this tierra,
Having the drive and inspiration to envision
All that this land can support:
Café harvesting, drying, roasting, sales, tours, shoppe.
We feel the greater sense of familia
Unfolding with God’s Grace🙏
La Gracia Café Finca,
So VERY aptly named☕️

The “Office” at Arturo’s Café & Tea Shoppe
Mastranto Tea Lounge

Today, we continue to wait
For the sellers of the Palmira tierra
To manage their tax situation
So that we may close escrow.
We can only but Trust this process
With the following being a wonderful reminder for us:
With the ears of our heart, we hear the tierra,
“I have been waiting for you.”
Our response?
“Sorry we’re late.”
(a la Richard Bach from Illusions)
