We walk the tierra with Arturo,
Our chosen partner in the tending of the
Whopping 23,000 café trees
Residing on the land we are to steward.

We are learning the nuances of the café business.
We are gaining the eyes to see that
The trees on the tierra we are to steward
Are wanting more attention.

With Arturo’s coffee farm tour,
We visit a number of thriving café farms
In the foothills of Boquete.
Stunning beauty abounding –
Prolific coffee trees
Overlooking mountain views,
Receiving ample rainfall.

And with this,
I see Arturo’s Love of café,
His knowledge of the varietals,
The network of people and farms
That he has established and nurtured in the Boquete area,
His ability to flat get ‘er done –
Swiftly, thoroughly, with seeming Ease ’n Grace.
He is our choice.
And, we seem to be his.

A space was recently made in Arturo’s life
When a business opportunity did not pan out for him.
In we step, a few short months later.
We are establishing the agreement amidst us,
An unfolding with Faith and Trust.
We stand in awe of Source delivering such a one as Arturo,
Particularly given our endeavoring to align with a farmer
On the Olinda, Maui, farm for years,
With mostly lack of success.
We feel the gift of alignment with Arturo,
Supporting our release of the details of the coffee production
With his agreement for managing.

Given Arturo’s role as café finca (farm) manager,
Andrew can then focus on the Community development,
Beginning with an upgrade to the coffee harvester’s campamento,
(A rather rustic living space for migrant workers),
Followed by the layout of a one-way road through the property,
Along which housing and a BnB shall gain access.

Details are being defined.
Trust and Faith are foremost.
We did not realize to the extent that we now find ourselves,
That we would be coffee farmers.
And, here we stand, with a gift of fruit bearing trees,
That will bear even greater Abundance
Under the care of Arturo and team.
